Gifts We Genuinely Love in 2025! (50+ Ideas)
We are passionate about living out our values and being intentional. When it comes to gifts, the same is true! Most of our gifts tend to be experiences (think memberships, tickets, or adventures) but sometimes a physical gift is necessary. This is our list of gifts that we genuinely love and have added significant value to our lives!

For Kids:

- Nugget Couch – Endless hours of fort building, obstacle courses, and fun! The Nugget Couch is worth every penny and the number one most played with gift in our house. Bonus, it makes a great guest bed if needed!
- Embroidery Canvas Tote Bag – This was our 9-year-old daughter’s favorite gift of last year! A great beginner friendly project for the older child or adult in your life who loves to create.
- Paint By Number – Our 7-year-old son received this paint by number cheetah for his birthday this year and this was his top pick! He created something he’s so proud of and it even comes with a frame to be displayed.
- Archery Set – This wooden beginner friendly archery set has been a big hit in our home this year and has provided hours of entertainment. I love that I don’t have to worry about anyone actually getting hurt, but it’s been a great way to learn!
- Woobles – This easy-to-follow kit teaches you how to crochet the sweetest animals! All the materials are provided with video tutorials. I’d recommend for ages 10 and over.
- Rock Climbing Holds for a Tree – We don’t have any great trees to climb, but these rock-climbing holds help to give kids a boost and practice their rock climbing! We did get 2 sets of these, which was helpful to create enough grips around our tree.
- Rocking Boat and Steps – We’ve had this for close to 10 years now, and it’s still one of the first things kids of all ages go to when they come over!
- Slack Board – Not one that we have yet, but this slack board is actually on our wish list for our kids and whole family this year! We love adding things in our home to encourage fun and beneficial movement at the same time!
- Kid’s Carving Kit – Give kids the tools to learn how to carve their own animals! Another one that we haven’t tried yet personally but is on our kid’s wish list this year.
- Adult Coloring Books – From about ages 5 or 6 on, our kids have loved these adult coloring books and have spent hours working on them. The more intricate designs give them something to work on that they won’t grow out of.
- Electric Tooth Brush – This Burst Kids Toothbrush has greatly increased the toothbrushing experience for both our kids and ourselves! And the 2-minute brush time feature helps make sure they’re squeaky clean.
For Him:

- Gerber Multi-tool – Jim is convinced every guy should have one. Whether the project is planned or unplanned, this guy at your side will bail you out time and time again.
- Soft Star Shoes/Slippers – We’ve tried many slippers that don’t last. Solution: buy a shoe that feels like a slipper. Jim wears his Soft Stars around the house all year round. He has the Adult Roo Moccasin in Light Elk Leather.
- Shorty Lite Boots – Think Crocs meet farm boots. Remarkably lightweight and remarkably comfortable. And they’re waterproof. Slip ‘em on and you’re ready for anything.
- Darn Tough Socks – The only socks we trust for farm boots. With their lifetime replacement guarantee, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
- Rechargeable Headlamp – Tired of swapping AA’s? Get him a rechargeable headlamp for all his chores, projects, and adventures.
- Tilley Hat – There are brimmed hats, and then there are Tilley’s. Jim has had his for about a decade and worn the snot out of it, and it’s still good as new. They’re guaranteed for life.
- Mini Flex Tripod – Whether you’re a content creator or not, give Dad the tool to capture any moment. Transportable. Adjustable. And works with phones or cameras.
- Estwing 16 oz. Hammer – One hammer to rule them all. Jim got this very hammer early in our marriage and it’s now an heirloom that shows up to every project.
- Oscilating Multi-Tool – It’s the power tool you never knew you needed—until you use one. Give the project savvy Dad what he needs to conquer endless tasks.
- Giro Bike Helmet – At our house, no one gets on a bike without a helmet. And Dad needs to both model that and keep his own noggin safe.
For Her:

- Weighted Vest – A great way to incorporate strength training while you’re going for a daily walk! I’m a huge fan of rucking and this vest makes it really easy.
- Milk Frother – The gadget that I love that I didn’t know I needed. I was gifted this earlier this year and I use it all the time! The rechargeable batteries are also a big plus.
- Cotton Mesh Reusable Produce Bags – Whether it’s running to the store or harvesting out in the garden, I LOVE these reusable produce bags. I always keep them in my purse and find myself grabbing them over and over again.
- Harvest Baskets – Jim bought the kids and I these harvest baskets for Christmas last year and they’ve gotten so much use. The kids loved each having their own baskets, and I am constantly using them to go grab produce from the basement.
- Earth Runner Sandals – The sandals I live in all summer long, especially for doing anything in the garden. They are minimal, grounding, and super comfortable – like being barefoot, without actually being barefoot.
- Caraway Muffin Tin – This was the year I decided to ditch my silicone muffin cups because of the potentially toxic nature of silicone when heated. This Caraway Muffin Tin has been the perfect replacement for a non-toxic alternative!
- Bowl Covers (Cotton & Reusable) – All of my plastic lids have broken apart over time, so I’ve been turning to these cotton, reusable bowl covers instead! These are now my go-to for covering up leftovers, sides, and salads.
- Luli Metka Calendar – Every month there is excitement in our house about turning the page of our calendar because of the beautiful, handmade, homestead paintings on this calendar. It’s gorgeous!
- Woven Storage Baskets – The perfect solution to our toy storage woes. These baskets are huge and work really well for keeping the kids’ toys organized while still looking nice!
- Professional Chef’s Knife – I can’t say enough how important a good knife is for anyone who cooks! We have this Messermeister knife, and the blue handle is the chef’s kiss.
- Neuflora for Clothing (Code FROMSCRATCH for 10% off) – Shopping for clothes is overwhelming. Neuflora has been my solution. I love this small brand and their natural colors and fibers that help to create a calm and cohesive wardrobe. I’ve been slowly adding pieces over the last year and it’s made getting dressed every day so much more enjoyable (even while pregnant and postpartum)!
For the Family:

- Tent with Porch – We searched high and low for the perfect tent for our growing family. The front porch feature on this tent sold us and we love it!
- Inflatable Paddle Board – This is always a highlight to our trip to the lake every year! It’s big enough that a couple of kids always hop on with me or can use it themselves. It’s very sturdy. And when you’re done, just deflate so it’s compact to pack and stow away.
- Outdoor Swing – Swings aren’t just for kids (although ours have logged many hours on ours). It’s also my favorite way to spend the afternoon, reading a book, in the summertime.
- Sleeping Bags – Backyard campouts have become a core tradition anytime the weather allows and high-quality sleeping bags for the whole family are a must!
- Stroller Wagon – We ditched the stroller in lieu of a wagon and love it! This versatile wagon is awesome. You can push it, pull it, and it’s a super easy way to transport kids and anything else! And we did quite a bit of research and this one is a great value with many of the same features as higher end wagons.
- Wingfeather Saga – Our family has spent the past year reading through the Wingeather Saga aloud every night and it’s been a highlight of the year for all of us to adventure together through these books! A great read for kids and adults alike!
- Skip-BO – A family favorite that’s also easy to take on the go!
- Spot It! – Another great for-the-whole-family game—even our 2-year-old can play this one!
- HedBanz – This game always keeps us laughing! Definitely fun for the whole family or one that our kids love to play with friends.
- Smokeless Fire Pit – Everything is just more fun around the campfire! This is the perfect way to have that experience, regardless of where you are. Fun for the family and perfect for entertaining friends!
- Roll-up Table – This may be our top gift idea this year! We never knew a portable table could be so handy. Think pop-up picnics, impromptu craft projects, and bringing game nights outdoors! Small enough to live in your vehicle, sets up in no time, and big enough to seat our family of 7.
Stocking Stuffers:

- Chat Books – Our kids get a Chat Book every year in their stocking! It’s a photo book of them from the past year. They are always grabbing their chat books from previous years to look back on old photos and recall memories! We love having them.
- Fair Trade Chocolate Bar – The other thing that always ends up in our stockings every year 😊. A special treat for all!
- Darn Tough Socks – These are now the only socks that our whole family wears. They are more expensive up front, but worth it for not constantly having holey socks (and they are unconditionally guaranteed for life)!
- Wild Deodorant – Aluminum Free Deodorant that actually works! And my favorite feature is that the case is reusable and you can just keep replacing the refills as needs.
- Natural Nail Polish – Nail polish that you can feel good about that works really well!
- Gel Pens – Practical for both kids and adults!
- Water Bottle – No straws, no leaking, and stays cold! A different color for everyone in the family!
- Wool Recycled Mittens – Upcycled wool sweaters for the coziest mittens! These are my favorite mittens all winter long and they have sizes for the whole family.
- Duluth Stocking Cap – The hat you’ll find us in for chores every day! Warm and comfortable!
- Kids Balaclava – Our kids’ favorite hats for keeping warm in the cold. They stay on the littlest heads and help keep everything warm!
