We’ve been overflowing in frozen peaches from last summer’s abundant peach harvest. This cobbler is one of our favorite ways to use those frozen peaches for a taste of summer all winter long.

And it’s so easy to whip together with a handful of basic ingredients that we always have on hand. It’s a favorite recipe for our kids to make completely on their own.

Ingredients in Easy Peach Cobbler

Butter – Butter adds to the richness of this delicious cobbler. Coconut oil could be substituted for a dairy-free option. We love using our homemade butter in this one.

Flour – All-purpose flour, freshly ground soft white wheat, or a gluten free all-purpose flour would all work in this recipe.

Sugar – Organic cane sugar, or we like to use sucanat in this peach cobbler.

Baking Powder – Always look for aluminum-free baking powder. We like the Bob’s Red Mill brand or the aluminum-free baking powder from Azure Standard.

Salt – Redmond’s Real Salt is our favorite.

Milk – Whole milk is our favorite, but you can use whatever milk you’d like in this recipe.

Sliced Peaches – Either fresh or frozen peaches (thawed) will work. With thawed frozen peaches, I like to increase the amount of flour by ¼ cup because of the extra moisture.

How to Make Easy Peach Cobbler

Begin by melting butter in a 9×13 baking pan. While the butter is melting, now is a good time to gather the rest of the ingredients. If you are using fresh peaches, cut them into slices.

Remove hot pan from oven with melted butter and set aside.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Then add in milk and stir until fully incorporated.

Pour batter into the butter pan and spread around to fully cover the bottom of the pan. It’s okay if it looks a little funky at this point. The batter and butter will mix and look a little strange at this point, but stay the course.

Spoon or place peach slices evenly over the top of the batter.

Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes until fully set.

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or dollop of whipped cream!
